Pretty things

Flowers are everywhere! The sidewalks are lined with pots filled with water that house fish, water lillies, and lotuses that bloom in vivid shades. Orchids grow on trees, and other brightly colored beauties peek out from people's fences. We decided to snap photos of the flowers we saw on our way to getting fried bananas, only a few blocks away.

I think the last flower is my favorite.

This little stand is one of our favorite places to eat. It's on a street corner and only opens in the evening.

We were too busy enjoying our meal and forgot to take a picture of it before it was all gone... It's this pork noodle soup with dumplings and vegetables, and fried won tons on the side. Dinner for 2 for less than $2!!

Oh yeah, you can't tell, but there were also swarms of bugs above each of our heads that wouldn't leave us alone. Ana and I usually arm ourselves with bug spray before we leave the house. I got this all-natural kind that's made with eucalyptus and lemon oils. It has a very distinct smell, and when we're out, Ming always tells us that people keep on asking what that smell is. Haha! It's just us... trying to keep the bugs away... Even then, it doesn't always work!
