Ayutthaya

Today we toured Ayutthaya, Thailand's former capital city. I really like being in historic places, looking at old things and thinking about how many people have crossed these same paths in the span of their existence. These ruins are what's left after the Burmese ransacked and burned the capital centuries ago.

We also got to tour this cool place, Bang-Pa, the King’s summer palace. I much preferred visiting this place as opposed to the the Grand Palace. It was much less crowded and much more serene and picturesque.

And check out these souvenir plates that they tried to sell us. They could have at least told us to smile before taking our pictures!

Seriously though... Who buys these things!?

We’re leaving so soon... Hard to believe. We’ve been buying coconut ice cream at every chance we get.
